The SCL, concerned with the respect of the rules of safety measures relating to the driving of handling machines through its training department, organized a training on the authorization to drive forklift trucks from 20 to 22 December 2021 in its buildings.

With the Centre de Formation aux Métiers Portuaires et à la Logistique (CFMPL), SCL trained eight (08) employees whose objectives are:

• To control the technology of the forklift truck and the profession of forklift operator
• To carry out operations of taking and ending of shift
• Carry out loading, storage and retrieval operations and load transfers using the forklift truck
• Apply the safety instructions in force in the company and on the planned traffic areas, while respecting a productivity margin
• Ensure the first level maintenance of the material and equipment used
• Report on anomalies and difficulties encountered in the performance of his/her duties
• Drive a forklift in complete safety
• Master the elements of safety in the company
• Obtain the authorisation to drive a handling machine
